Mexichem Specialty Compounds’ Leicestershire, UK site received a Gold Award from The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA)

We are proud to announce that Mexichem Specialty Compounds’ Leicestershire, UK site received a Gold Award from The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) for its top-notch occupational health and safety performance.

Mary O’Mahony, RoSPA Trustee, presented the award at the RoSPA Occupational Health & Safety Awards Ceremony, on July 13, 2016.

RoSPA has been awarding excellence in safety performance for 60 years. RoSPA’s non-competitive Achievement Award is based on an organization's occupational health and safety performance assessed against the judging criteria, and organizations can achieve the Merit, Bronze, Silver, or Gold level.

The Gold Award is given to companies with excellent occupational health and safety management systems and culture that have a rigorous approach to occupational health, high levels of compliance with control measures, and low rates of error, harm or loss, among other requirements, as described by RoSPA’s award guide

This year was the first time MSC submitted an entry for the award, and we are particularly proud to have been awarded the highest level of the Achievement Award,” said Michael Morrisroe, Global SH and E Manager, Specialty Compounds Vinyl Business Group, Mexichem Specialty Compounds. “The Gold Award shows our commitment to safety. All our employees are to be congratulated for their part in our excellent safety record.”
